Elizabeth Howells

Elizabeth is a business psychologist with a driving interest in what makes individuals, teams and business ‘tick’. Actively bridging the gap between science and practice in the business world her work focuses on the pragmatics of making people and organisations perform better.

From a career start in finance in the corporate sector Elizabeth returned to University to follow her passion for people and business. A consulting psychologist for the past 8 years, Elizabeth has leveraged her expertise and education working with clients from small start-up to large private and public sector corporations. She has designed, developed and delivered human resource strategy, assessment, coaching, training, performance management and organisational development initiatives.  

Investigating leadership, Elizabeth gained a master’s degree with first class honours from the University of Auckland and is currently a doctoral candidate at the University of Auckland. She is a registered psychologist and a member of the New Zealand Psychological Society. 

Elizabeth has a keen interest in the postgraduate training of organisational psychologists, is a committee member of the Auckland I/O Psychology Special Interest Group, and was a founding member, Secretary and Treasurer for the NZ Coaching Psychology Special interest group .
